GOLS

The Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS) requires that the process from harvesting the organic latex from the rubber tree to molding the rubber sap in sheets of latex for latex mattresses is certified. 

FSC Certification

FSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits. This certification is for the sustainable wood used in our latex mattress foundations. 

OEKO-TEX

The Okeo-Tex certification affirms that a textile product is free of harmful chemicals.  It sets the standard for textile safety, from yarn to finished product. Every textile with the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 label is certified. Meaning it has passed the safety tests for the presence of harmful substances in textiles.

Furthermore, they have standards on manufacturing emissions and measure carbon and water foot prints. Meaning, that non-textile manufacturers can carry the certification if they meet OEKO-TEK emission requirements. 

Cradle To Cradle Gold

The Cradle to Cradle certification requires that products meeting this certification are using sustainable and renewable energy and water sources for their manufacturing practices.

Eco Wool

Eco Wool is manufactured by the Woolgather’s Carding Mill. The wool is sourced from United States farms. Primarily in the Northwest.  The wool and sheep are raised with standards as organic, but is not certified organic. The sheep are required to be able to graze, the use of pesticides is restricted as well as antibiotics, hormones, and other chemicals.

GOTS

The Global Organic Textile Standard was created to certify textiles as organic. In the organic mattress industry certification is for organic cotton, organic wool and a complete organic mattress. Sleeping Organic does not have a GOTS certified mattress. However, components of our mattress have GOTS components and some of our accessory vendors are GOTS certified.

Natural Content

This certificate ensures that the 100% natural latex and contains no fillers. 

Green Energy (Wind)

This certificate ensures that the Talalay latex was manufactured using renewable electricity generated by Windmills in the EU.

LGA

LGA Certification is administered by TÜV Rheinland AG, a global provider of technical, safety, and certification services with headquarters in Cologne, Germany.
