The face is woven from long-staple organic cotton in a 220 percale weave: crisp, smooth, and cool to the touch. Inside, organic cotton batting is quilted in two-inch squares that hold their loft and resist shifting through years of laundering. The deep skirt is breathable cotton with full elastic so the pad stays anchored on standard or deep mattresses.

Yes, modestly. The two-inch quilted cotton batting adds a soft, breathable surface that takes the edge off a firm mattress without changing the underlying support. For more meaningful cushion, layer one of our wool or latex toppers underneath.
