How in-home service works
  1. Order as normal. Your mattress ships to your door on the usual schedule. Nothing about the delivery changes.
  2. LoadUp emails you to schedule. Our service partner reaches out with a link to pick the date and two-hour arrival window that suits you.
  3. The crew handles the rest. Two people arrive, do the work you booked, and take every piece of packaging with them.

Pricing is per bed, so if you are furnishing more than one room you only pay for the beds you want serviced. Everything booked on one order is handled in the same visit. Available across the continental United States. Change or cancel free up to the day before your appointment. Service fees are not refundable once the appointment has been completed, and they are separate from the mattress trial and return policy.

The “Best” in Good, Better, Best

Support that follows your body, not just your position

Most adjustable bases change your position. The Rio 5.0 changes how your body is supported in that position. Adjustable lumbar support fills the gap beneath your lower back. Automatic head tilt cradles your neck as the head section rises, so you are not sliding down or stacking pillows. As you raise the head upright, the middle of the base opens up extra room at the diaphragm instead of folding you at the waist. Add the anti-snore preset, head and foot massage, USB charging, underbed lighting, and control from the 16-button remote or the ErgoSync app, and this is the Rio for people who live in their bed, not just sleep in it.

See the base move

Head tilt and lumbar in motion

Raise the head for reading, engage the lumbar for lower-back support, tilt the head section to keep your neck neutral, or press Zero-G to distribute your weight evenly. The wall-saving design keeps the bed close to your nightstand as it articulates.

Pair it with an organic latex mattress

Current Sale Pricing

Rio 5.0 sizes

Pricing matched to Ergomotion’s own store sale. The 5.0’s heavier wall-saving frame means larger one-piece sizes ship freight, so we offer the sizes that ship free by courier: Twin XL and split configurations.

SizeMSRPSaleBest for
Twin XL$1,799$1,499Single sleepers, one side of a split king
Split King$3,598$2,998Independent control for each partner
Split Cal King$3,598$2,998Longer split setup, 36″ x 84″ per side

Latex Compatible

Built for the way natural latex flexes

Natural latex is one of the best mattress materials for adjustable bases. It bends cleanly with the base, responds instantly when positions change, and does not rely on coils or glued comfort layers that can fight the motion. Pair the Rio 5.0 with a split latex mattress and each side can have its own position, firmness, and lumbar setting.

Know the Terms

Zero clearance vs. wall hugger: what’s the difference?

Zero clearance is about what’s under the base: a zero-clearance base needs no open space beneath it, so it can sit flat on a platform bed, on solid decking, or directly inside a bed frame and still articulate fully. Every Rio has it.

Wall hugger (also called wall-saving) is about what happens behind you: as the head section rises, a wall hugger base glides backward on rails so your head stays close to the wall and your nightstand stays within reach. Without it, raising the head pushes you a foot or more away from the wall. In the Rio lineup, only the Rio 5.0 has a wall-hugging design.

Warranty

The 10-year Ergomotion warranty, in plain English

Every Ergomotion base carries a 10-year limited manufacturer warranty for the original purchaser. Here is exactly how it works.

PeriodWhat Ergomotion coversWhat you pay
Years 1-2
Hassle-free Repair or replacement of any defective part, including labor and transportationNothing
Years 3-5
Parts Replacement of any part found defective by the manufacturerService, installation, and shipping costs
Years 6-10
Prorated Mechanical base defects on a shared-cost basis1/5 of the replacement part’s MSRP per year past year five (year 6 = 1/5, year 10 = 4/5)

The prorated years 6-10 apply to the mechanical base; wear items and electronics such as the cover, legs, motors, control box, remote, and power supply are covered through the earlier warranty tiers. Register your base with Ergomotion after delivery to activate coverage; we include the registration link with every order. Full terms are available from Ergomotion, and our team handles the claim process with them for you.

Questions

Rio 5.0 FAQ

What does the lumbar support actually do?

A separate motor raises a support zone under your lower back, filling the gap beneath the lumbar curve. It works flat or in any raised position, and it is the feature people miss most when they go back to a regular base.

What is auto head tilt?

As the head section rises, the top portion tilts to cradle your head and keep your neck in a neutral line. You get an upright reading position without sliding down the bed or stacking pillows behind your neck, and the seat area opens up extra room at your diaphragm instead of folding you at the waist.

Why is there no Queen or King size?

The 5.0’s heavier wall-saving frame ships freight in one-piece Queen and King sizes, which adds cost and delivery time. We carry the sizes that ship free by courier: Twin XL and split configurations. A Split King is the same total size as a King, with independent control for each side.

What mattress works on an adjustable base?

Adjustable bases need a mattress designed to flex. Our natural latex mattresses are the ideal match: they bend cleanly, recover instantly, and their unglued layers move with the base instead of fighting it. Mattresses specifically built for adjustable beds also work. Traditional innerspring mattresses with rigid border rods should not be used on an adjustable base. If you are unsure about your current mattress, ask us before ordering.

Is the app required?

No. Everything works from the 16-button wireless remote. The ErgoSync app is a free option for controlling the base from your phone.
